About Kawasaki SPIN

Kawasaki’s new advanced infotainment functionality can bring new experiences to every ride. Kawasaki SPIN* is a launcher-style iPhone app displayed on the motorcycle’s LCD instrument panel that can be navigated via switches on the handlebars.

Once displayed on the motorcycle’s LCD screen, the app functions using the same interface as an iPhone.

By downloading third-party apps compatible with Kawasaki SPIN, common functions like navigation, music streaming, and weather reports can be added and used. Currently available apps are listed in Kawasaki SPIN’s library, which will continue to be expanded. The following five apps are included as standard to support your riding lifestyle.

- Contacts: Displays the iPhone’s Contacts list, allowing the rider to select who to call.
- Phone: Calls can be made by inputting a telephone number directly via switches on the handlebars, and calls can also be received. If the caller’s number is stored in the Contacts list, it is displayed on the LCD screen.
- Maps: The motorcycle’s current location is displayed, and destinations can be searched for. A simple view of available routes can also be displayed.
- Music: A list of songs stored in the iPhone's music library is displayed, and songs can be selected by title. Music can be listened to through a separate headset installed in the helmet.
- Calendar: A calendar function listing upcoming appointments can be displayed. This can be useful for showing meeting times and places while touring.

*The Kawasaki SPIN app is compatible with the Ninja H2 SX and Ninja H2 SX SE (2022 and later models)
*Headset must be purchased by the rider separately.
*Please read the owner's manual and use this application while keeping safety in mind.

What’s the point?

Took me 10 min to plan a trip using the switchgear to type in an address. Can’t specify “avoid tolls” or anything like that. Can’t pick different routes. Can’t select previous destinations and edit the search. Can’t use the phones keyboard. Can’t set up nav on your phone and then use the dashboard. Can only use Apple Music Can’t lock the screen. Requires WiFi and Bluetooth and wacky permissions. What’s the point in setting this up?

Useless APP

It doesn’t do much, it doesn’t work well, it looses connection all the time, it’s unreliable. The people at the Kawasaki dealership know less about this than I do. I have a 2022 Ninja H2SXSE, it’s a great bike, I love it. Kawasaki needs to get someone else to do APP development.
