About Moleskine Notes
We all love screens and devices. However, when it comes to capturing your thoughts, nothing beats paper’s immediacy and open-ended possibility. The Moleskine Smart Writing set offers you the best of paper and digital to amplify your productivity and creativity.
Moleskine Notes works with the Moleskine Smart Pen and Smart Notebooks to empower your handwritten notes and sketches by bringing them into the digital realm. Take notes by hand, transcribe them inside Moleskine Notes, and then share them with friends and collaborators. Go offline with your Moleskine Smartpen, and all of your work will be transferred upon reconnecting with the app. This means you write and draw anywhere and still create a shareable digital copy of your pages.
The notes you take in meetings or classes can be instantly converted to text, then exported as Microsoft Word, RTF, or TXT files. Draw diagrams and import them into your PowerPoint presentations. You can export your sketches to vector art and continue to refine work.

Not worth the price point if paying retail for the hardware.
The smart pen itself is made by another company Neo lab. My pen does not have any firmware revisions available for it. It’s still on revision one. Meaning that they have not worked on the software for the pen for a considerable amount of time and have never released software updates for the firmware of the pen. My pen / the software has issues with digitalization, and will sometimes draw random pen strokes. It also has had trouble registering pen strokes towards the top of the page. The app user interface is confusing and hard to navigate. It feels like the software hardware combo was rushed to market before working out the bugs. The pen itself is a good weight but feels like it might become uncomfortable to use for extended periods of time. Would be nice if there was an open source component to the software so independent developers could work out some of the bugs and speed up the revision cycle.

Cannot create account
They’re still selling this pen even though it is impossible to create an account on Moleskine at the moment. People have been reporting this for the last two weeks so this is not some temporary outage. Ridiculous!
