About WORLD AIDS DAY

Donate and download our products using our World AIDS Day app to raise vital funds to end HIV stigma, prevent new HIV transmissions, and support people living with HIV.

40 years on, HIV still matters.

The World AIDS Day (WAD) is an app from Thorne Harbour Health to raise vital funds to end HIV stigma, prevent new HIV transmissions and support people living with HIV. The latest release of our WAD app allows users to download virtual ribbons, wallpapers, watch faces, create personalised messages which can be shared on social media, and access information and news through our resource hub. All our downloadable features help us raise money through your donation to support people living with HIV.

World AIDS Day is internationally recognised on the 1st December and raises awareness in the community about HIV and AIDS related issues, including remembering those we have lost. HIV affects everyone. It does not discriminate based on how rich you are, where you are from, how you grew up, or what your gender and sexual orientation might be. HIV and AIDS are still major global health issues affecting by millions of people around the world. In fact, it is estimated that over 40 million people around the world are currently living with HIV and since the start of the epidemic in the early 1980’s an estimated 75 million people have become infected with HIV, and over 35 million people have died as a result of developing AIDS related conditions. 1 in 5 people around the World don't know that they have HIV.
