About Wabbit IoT

PURPOSE OF THE APP

The app is used by BBEnergy clients to access information on the Wabbit-IoT cloud, hosted by BBEnergy. Typical information on the cloud includes water, energy, waste, carbon and production information that is gathered by BBEnergy via the internet and directly from meters via an APN. The data is then presented (using Highcharts) in graphs and gauges. This will later be expanded to include specific client dashboards (Highcharts) and reports (SQLServer SSRS).

The app also has Firebase functionality, which is used to send notifications to the app if certain conditions in the cloud data set is met, for instance if the pressure in a waterpipe is too high, or the level in a dam or tank is too low.

The app can also be used to enter data into the database via the “data entry” menu item. This is used by clients to enter data manually, which is not available via any other means. An example would be water and energy utility bills.

The Wabbit-IoT app is a tool that is easier to use than the website at www.wabbit-iot.co.za, where BBEnergy exposes critical information to our clients regarding the areas above that we focus on.

MAIN FEATURES

The features of the app are currently the following:

• Secure login with username and password. Registration of clients (username and password) is done on the website at www.wabbit-iot.co.za.
• Biometrics (face, finger) can also be used by clients to log onto the Wabbit-IoT app.
• BBEnergy created and API, which is accessed by the website at www.wabbit-iot.co.za and the app (Wabbit IoT) to extract data and view.
• Graph views are set up by BBEnergy, and the client can view these under the “Graphs” menu item
• Gauge views (latest real-time value) are set up by BBEnergy, and the client can view these under the “Views” menu tab
• The app can also receive notifications from Wabbit-IoT cloud, and these can be viewed under the “Notifications” tab.
• Data entry forms are also set up by BBEnergy on the back-end, and linked to users. This enables users to enter relevant data (see pint 2 in his document) into Wabbit.
