With the help of this app and short notifications, users are reminded daily to take the iron supplements. Four questions about capsule intake and possible side effects must be answered daily, and if present, the side effects should be specified. It is possible to adjust the entered information again on the same day.
If an entry was forgotten on one day, this entry can also be made one day later. Two days later this is no longer possible.
In the calendar, entered information on supplement intake and side effects can be seen for each day. In addition, there is a diamond collection game where users can receive a diamond trophy every 45 days if they use the app daily.
The app can be used in English or German. The entered data of registered study participants is stored on their personal smartphone and regularly synchronized with a server database if there is an active internet connection. Therefore, even without internet connection, information can be entered into the app.
