Rocky Man 5
Glorious Fun with a Rough Late Game
Rounds are perfectly short and sweet, and the geometric aesthetic never gets old. Ships are fun to control, enemies are mechanically well-designed to keep you on your toes, and the ship upgrades dropped by enemies feel impactful. Upgrade drop rates can be increased between rounds for diamonds, which you collect during the rounds. My only complaint is that the late game doesn’t seem like it was play tested—you can become unkillable with ease once you have high enough drop rates to outpace the gradual strength increase of your enemies, and before long you’re putting out so many bullets that the framerate plummets. But devs, if you see this, awesome work—when you’re not playing as god, this game is so, so much fun.
