About Plated: for food

Food should be plated, not binned.

Manage your food with Plated. Keep track of what you have, where it is stored, and when it will expire. Use your food, reduce waste, and hopefully save some money too.

Adding food is easy with a product-based action system. Products can be actioned over and over again. Simply store, open, or freeze a product, to instantly create a new item in stock.

Stock items can have
- a name
- a brand
- a storage location
- a photo
- a use by date
- a best before date
- and a note.

Stock items can be
- listed in order of use by date
- searched for by name
- filtered by product, brand, or storage location
- identified by photo
- and annotated with quantities and recipe ideas.

So, no more packets going stale in the cupboard, no more jars mouldering in the fridge, and no more left-overs languishing in the freezer.

Plated was designed and tested in my own kitchen. I was inspired by the faff of writing an expiry date on a tube of tomato purée. Now I just open a tomato purée product instead. So much easier.

Have you had a tomato purée moment too? Do you want to mange your food better? Then try Plated. It is free, for up to 20 stock items at once. Tania.

Caution. The expiry dates provided by Plated are for guidance only. I hope that they will always be accurate, but I cannot guarantee it. I really don’t want anyone getting food poisoning, so please use your own judgement regarding the condition of your food.
