About المتحف الافتراضي الفلسطيني

The Palestinian Virtual Museum is an App that is developed to support the distance learning process in Palestine during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The App provides information on the Palestinian cultural heritage using archaeological objects that date back to different periods starting from the Stone Age until the end of the British mandate over Palestine in 1948.
The App provides an overview of five main historical periods and selects carefully archaeological objects that represent the selected periods. The objects are human-made tools that were used in daily life practices for millennia. These objects are exhibited in high-quality 3d photogrammetry that allows the user to move, handle and see all the details of the magnificent objects.
A summary of each object describes the shape, color, material, and use in addition to the place where the object was found in Palestine. The user can listen to an audio narration for this summary which provides an interesting atmosphere while observing the details of the objects.
The App is decorated with photographs from archaeological and heritage sites in Palestine that represent examples of prominent places where the exhibited objects were found.
A chronological ruler guides the user in moving between the historic periods and provides further details on the main stations and civilizations that flourished in each period.
The development of the App is part of a cultural heritage conservation project implemented by UNESCO with a Fund from Sweden and in partnership with the Palestinian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
