RideView Companion is a versatile and powerful tool for a driver or installer to interact with dash cams powered by the RideView video telematics platform. It automatically senses and connects to dash cams in its vicinity to help with:
- Installing dash cams by observing the preview from road and driver facing cameras
- Viewing incidents and scorecards, improvement in their performance over time, and other analytics
- Completing coaching sessions by reviewing videos shortlisted by fleet managers for review
- Disputing incidents where you were not at fault
- Accessing critical device diagnostics when troubleshooting dash cam issues in the field
- Set the APN for the SIM
- Obtain driver consent to record audio in the dash cam
- Enrol images for face recognition. The face crop images submitted are for associating the driver’s face to his/her login/driverId. The driver is expected to let the dash cam know as to who will be driving the vehicle before the start of the trip. RideView platform compares the enrolled images (collected through the app) and the images obtained from the dash cam during the actual drive/trip. Objective is to be able recognise and verify that person driving the vehicle is indeed the person corresponding to the driverId.
Everything in a clean and fluid user interface that helps you get the job done quickly and effectively. Drive safely, and always with a RideView Companion at hand!
