Malee game is one of the financial education tools which was produced with the aim of enabling children and their families to gain the fundamental knowledge for financial decision making.
The game aims to raise the skills of purchasing planning, differentiating between needs and desires, setting priorities, promoting a culture of savings, appreciating charitable and volunteer work, and identifying sources of income and spending.
The game is characterized by its flexibility, for instance, in addition to offering the possibility for the parents to participate and share guidance during the game by discussing financial matters with family members, it can also be played individually or in groups within schools or during recreational and cultural events. Moreover, Malee provides many playing options as playing with AI, playing with family members and playing online.
In order to develop self-learning and cooperative skills, problem-solving and decision-making, the game was designed based upon behavioural economics factors and psychological principles, which promote achievement, engagement and motivation.
