The Biscuit Factory was built in 1947 by Crawfords Biscuits, the warehouse which was home to them for 20 years still sits proudly between Anderson Place and Bonnington Road Lane, along with our sister building the Soap Works which was a soap and chemical factory in the early 1900’s. It is now home to 32 creative businesses who together contribute massively to the culture in Leith, with our surroundings now predominantly being housing and offices. Keeping most of the original fixtures and fittings, The Biscuit Factory is a true experience to visit, with a historical background, and colorful future. Join us in our outdoor courtyard style area, and soak up the sun, history, and good vibes.
The Biscuit Factory Family - We try to keep our suppliers inhouse or local wherever possible, and have teamed up with 3 of our inhouse caterers (Caravan of Courage, PorkEDIN and Lovely Paella) and bakers (The bearded baker and Mrs Macs Bakery) to bring you the best in street food and sweet treats, all made under one roof. Along with coffee, also brewed in house by Santu Coffee.
We are developing a unique cocktail menu alongside our inhouse gin distillery Old Poison (Selkie gin). Fabrizio is passionate about his products and will give you a background on every drink you receive. It is also possible to book a tour of where these products are produced.
A lot of our other in-house businesses are back open for trading, why not go and visit them, then sit outside for a drink in the sun and help support their mother-ship!
