"Gunma Prefectural Museum of History Navigation" is the Gunma Prefectural Museum of History's official app for providing exhibition descriptions and is for use within the museum.
The Gunma Prefectural Museum of History opened in October 1979.
Then, after large-scale renovation work from 2014, it was reopened in July 2016.
The history and cultural characteristics of Gunma Prefecture, from primitive, ancient, medieval, early modern, and modern times, are introduced in an easy-to-understand manner using images and models, centered on actual materials.
At present, the app can only be used in the National Treasure Exhibition Room. However, the area where the app can be used will be expanded in stages.
*The app is available in five languages: Japanese, Chinese (simplified and traditional), English, Korean, and Portuguese.
—Main Functions—
▪Digital Descriptions of Exhibited Works
There are two types of descriptions available: introductory, and more highly specialized. Switch between the two by tapping the button.
Launching the app activates your device's camera. If you scan the QR codes in the museum, you can view exhibit descriptions digitally on your device.
Haniwa Stamp Rally
Collect Haniwa! When you hover the Haniwa camera over a Haniwa, they will be recorded in the Haniwa Stamp Rally.
▪Cautions for Use
Please pay careful attention to other visitors and exhibitions when using the app.
We recommend that you download the content in advance over a Wi-Fi connection.
