Can you stack all of your pieces before your opponent?
Trapstax is an abstract strategy game in which each player tries to block, jump, and stack their way to victory! This must be done while keeping an eye on the 50-move limit.
A game can be played in real time in as little as 15 minutes. Or carefully scrutinize each move, playing a turn-based game over several days.
The rules are simple. On your turn, you can:
• Move any stack horizontally or vertically.
• Jump a stack over a smaller stack.
• Place a stack on top of an equal or greater stack.
Trapstax shares characteristics of the classic board games chess and checkers. Toward the end of a game, logical reasoning becomes critical as each move becomes more important, and the move limit approaches.
Leaderboards include a unique rating system, as well as wins, draws, and losses. There is also a leaderboard for games completed in the least number of moves. We aren’t sure what the fastest possible game is, but maybe one day we will!
