Welcome to Gweedore (or Gaoth Dobhair in Irish), located on the north-western coast of Donegal. Gweedore is the largest Irish-speaking parish in Ireland with a population of circa 4,065. The region consists of a loose agglomeration of small towns and settlements which collectively encompass an area which starting from the north at the promontory known as Bloody Foreland, and ending in the south at the valley of the Gweedore river, with Errigal mountain, the highest peak in Donegal, dominating in the background.
