About Philadelphia Latino Film Fest

The Philadelphia Latino Film Festival (PHLAFF) was established in 2012 and has become the Greater Philadelphia region’s only festival showcasing the extraordinary and innovative work of emerging and established Latino and Latinx filmmakers.

PHLAFF’s programming focuses on the diverse experiences and realities of our people. PHLAFF has evolved into an international film festival that brings the best of Latino and Latinx stories to a wide audience.

PHLAFF attracts a diverse audience, developing a new space in the Philadelphia region where filmmakers, actors, producers and creatives can meet with other artists, engage with audiences and present and discuss innovative work.

The mission of PHLAFF is to nurture emerging and established Latino and Latinx creatives and filmmakers by celebrating the richness and diversity of our cultures and experiences, while fostering cross-cultural understanding and dialogue.
Through screenings, conversations (both virtual and in person), workshops and special events, PHLAFF engages the region’s diverse communities through the universal language of film creating critical connections to shared experiences and cross cultural understanding at both the national and international levels.
