FrancoQuiz was developed by a group of Francophone organizations (members of La Fédération des francophones de la Colombie-Britannique) in British Columbia to promote and transmit Francophone culture.
Through an innovative, fun, and educational way, players can discover all that Francophonie has brought to British Columbia over the years in a minority environment.
By making the FrancoQuiz available in both official languages, we aim to connect all Canadians, whether they speak French, English, or are new immigrants. We also hope to promote linguistic duality, which we believe is an unquestionable asset for Canada.
This game is meant for all audiences, but particularly Francophones and Francophiles interested in learning more about the French culture in British Columbia.
In addition to tourists looking for ways to explore British Columbia outside the usual circuits, a variety of educational institutions looking for ways to teach French will benefit from this program.
Players can establish or renew ties with the Francophone community by consulting the directory of Francophone organizations that they have spotted while playing.
La Fédération des francophones de la Colombie-Britannique, l’Association francophone du centre de l’Île, l’Association francophone des Kootenays Ouest, le Centre culturel francophone de l’Okanagan, le Cercle des Canadiens Français de Prince Georges, le Conseil culturel et artistique francophone de la Colombie-Britannique et la Société francophone de Maillardville would like to thank the Governement for its support.
This project was also supported by the Economic Development Fund for Francophones in Western Canada administered, among others, by the Société de développement économique de la Colombie-Britannique.
