About Open Band Cyclist

This app is for participants in the "Cycling Club Open Band" research study by the University of Oxford & 4YouandMe. In this research study, we would like to see if the use of the Open Band wearable device can detect beat to beat variations in the heart. This study will be reviewed and approved by the Research Ethics Board at Oxford University.

Once you have enrolled in the study, you will download this study companion app that contains the eConsent. This app will serve as a hub for study participation. Using this app, you can follow four activities on a PolarH10 strap and the Open Band so we can access alignment of beat to beat variations in the heart from these two devices. The four activities include measures of 1) holding the arm still while sitting, 2) while biking, 3) while walking and 4) while asleep. We expect that setup for use of the app will take about 1-2 minutes each time these activities are performed. Participation in the study will last 4-6 weeks.
