Communication is a major factor in Prison life and the lack of it can have horrendous consequences. eMates offers a quick, efficient, secure alternative method of communication for Prisoners, their families, friends, legal professionals and related organisations - meaning Prisoners can receive more frequent and varied communication.
Documentation continually states Prisoners who are able to maintain family ties are 6 times less likely to re-offend.

Won’t let me schedule a video visit
For the last two months the video visit request page will not work. I fill out my request, it says it has been sent and lists it as “requested” then when I refresh the app or open it again later the request is gone. I then check the actual website and there will be no request pending listed. And half the time when I send an email it disappears while it is sending and I have to reboot the app and write the email again.

Frustrating
This app is super frustrating to try and use. I sent a message, it looks like it was sent (is marked sent), but then it comes up as a “draft” again. There is no record of messages sent. This seems like these should be simple features to include. So confusing.
