Put in your headphones, select a soundscape, and follow a calming voice as it guides you to focus on different sounds. And with looping soundscapes and randomized instructions every play is different, ensuring each listen is just as effective as the first.
Soundscapes include:
-Cafe
-Beach
-City
-Rainforest
-And more to come!
Metattune is based on Attention Training Technique (ATT), an evidence-based exercise designed to improve control over your attention. Research suggests that ATT may have benefits for anxiety, mood, burnout, intrusive thoughts, and pain.
Why choose Metattune over other meditation apps? Research shows that ATT works differently in the brain by increasing external-focused attention (i.e., what’s in front of and around you) versus mindfulness-based tasks like meditation which increase internal-focused attention (i.e., what’s going on in your head). If meditation and traditional mindfulness methods haven’t worked for you, then give Metattune a try!
Designed by two brothers - a psychologist and engineer - to solve a problem: Very few ATT tracks exist and those that do play disconnected sounds with the same order of instructions. But instead of just sharing with mental health clinicians, we’re bringing Metattune directly to you. And our efforts have already been recognized - Metattune was the 1st place winner in Social Enterprise in the University of Cincinnati IQ E-Pitch Competition!
Note: Metattune is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any diseases. You should consult a licensed mental health care professional for any personalized advice.
