About Parry: Women Safety
EASY EXCUSE TO LEAVE FOR WHEN THEY WON'T TAKE THE HINT
Everyday women find themselves in awkward or uncomfortable situations and have to resort to either uncomfortable confrontation or stuck wasting time. Parry provides an easy exit strategy by providing the user a discreet and quick way to activate a pre-recorded but realistic sounding phone call.
SEND YOUR LOCATION TO YOUR EMERGENCY CONTACTS
For an added layer of safety, Parry also gives the user the option to have their location sent to their designated emergency contacts. The user can select up to five contacts through their address book, who will receive a text message with the user's location.
BELIEVABLE FAKE PHONE CALL
Parry users can select from four pre-recorded conversations that vary in length to give users more or less time to get out of an awkward or uncomfortable situation. Parry also gives users the ability to record their own conversation to create a custom fake phone call.
Users are also able to customize the name that shows up when they receive the fake phone call to further make the incoming call realistic.
In order to add believability, Parry has six options for length of delay from when the user activates Parry to when they receive the call. Users can select between five seconds, thirty seconds, sixty seconds, ninety seconds, ten minutes, thirty minutes, and one hour. The ten minutes, thirty minute and hour option call delay is generally used when the user is going into a situation (i.e. a date, meet-up) and want a fake phone call in the near future in case they need an excuse to leave.
ACTIVATE YOUR CALL DISCREETLY
Users have two options for activating their phone call. Users can either activate the call in the app itself or by long pressing the Parry app icon and choosing from the options on the widget.
WHEN TO USE PARRY
Parry is best used in any situation where you feel uncomfortable. Here are some situations we believe Parry is perfect for:
- When you're on a date and it's not going well
- When there's a creepy stranger on your commute
- When you're trying to exercise and someone approaches you
- When you're stuck talking to someone you don't want to talk to anymore
- When someone is invading your boundaries and won't leave you alone
JOIN THE COMMUNITY
One of the best parts of Parry is the community we are building to empower and connect women; women who are aware of their surroundings and are looking for ways to feel safer in their daily life. Parry aims to bring that group together and create dialogue around how we can all continue to be safe and look out for one another.
Parry has your back for when they won't take the hint!

App does not work
Any time I attempt to schedule a call, I get an error message saying “something went wrong-please try again” I’ve updated the app, reinstalled the app, rebooted phone, all for naught. This is a great concept but simply doesn’t work and takes your subscription fee.
