Climate Education was born as an initiative to rethink climate knowledge by making it more accessible and transferable, both state-of-the-art and of general concern. With the help of educational multimedia and interactive digital tools we want to reinforce fundamental aspects of relevant topics related to climate change mitigation and adaptation for all our users sector-wise.
For this, we are launching our educational app, enabling the use of our interactive digital tools made for everyone. No technical expertise needed to navigate and learn from the app. Initially, we're adding four tools to our platform, but we will be adding more creative content within the following updates!
• The first tool is focused on the different advantages and usage of geothermal energy. Divided into four different sectors, users will be able to visualize and comprehend geothermal energy applications such as in agribusiness, lumber drying, food preservation, hydrogen production, district heating, and more.
• The second tool illustrates the different strategies that can be applied in architecture in order to promote a greater thermal comfort and improve energy efficiency in general. Divided into different climates, users will identify how strategies ranging from structural materials to orientation can have drastic effects.
• The third tool will map out the different potential for renewable energies in the Latin American and Caribbean region. Users will be able to filter out the energy of their choice and learn about existing projects that are paving the way for the region's energy transition.
• The fourth tool will allow users to visualize the current technologies that exploit renewable energy using Augmented Reality! Users will be able to select the technology of their choice and dive into the world of clean energy.
