JoyPath is your company on the journey of grief and loss. It offers the user the opportunity to learn about grief and grieving and also effective ways to process the strong feelings and emotions that are a normal and natural part of grief. Login to Joypath and first, tell the story of your loss. You will then be directed to the appropriate neighborhood. In JoyPath there are many neighborhoods, from loss of a spouse, to loss of a parent, child, unexpected death, death by suicide, LGBTQ loss and more. Inside the neighborhoods you will find articles, videos and other teaching modalities that will help you learn about grief and the grief journey. You will learn that feelings of remorse, anger and fear are common and normal. You will learn that you are not alone and that grief is an intensely human experience – the inevitable part of loving another in this life.
JoyPath will also offer you the opportunity to visit our Healing Pathways - These offer strategies for processing your experience and taking care of yourself in what can be turbulent times. The healing pathways explore how the user might incorporate the use of music, art, poetry, meditation and massage in the grief journey.
JoyPath also incorporates The Artists Grief Deck, a bereavement support tool that displays an original work of art on one side of a grief card and a grief prompt or exercise on the reverse. There are 60 such cards in the deck and JoyPath users can access all and save favorites to their personal collection.
Grief is not something we fix but something we accompany. It does change and we smile more when we think of the special person we have lost. Over time, we do return to a more normal and joyful life. JoyPath is here to help you on this journey.
