About MyRide – Link
MyRide – Link is an app that connects your smartphone to the vehicle “Communication Control Unit (CCU)” communication device. Once paired, the vehicle meter screen can display information received by your smartphone, such as notifications and weather reports.
Main features
Last Mile:
When combined with the exclusive “Garmin Motorize”* motorcycle navigation app, MyRide – Link guides you all the way to your final destination. It also confirms your parking position.
*The parking position displays the location where the Bluetooth connection between the smartphone and CCU was disconnected.
*The “Garmin Motorize” app provided by Garmin must be downloaded separately (service fees apply for use of the navigation feature).
Settings:
Various CCU settings can be changed, such as rearranging the app layout or selecting which app notifications to enable.
Changeable settings:
・App layout
Customize the order in which apps appear in the menu.
・Management of connections with the CCU
Manage and add multiple CCU pairings to your smartphone.
Confirmed compatible operating systems
iOS: 13 and later
Compatible devices:
Smartphones
*Operation of MyRide - Link has been confirmed under certain conditions. Please be aware that MyRide - Link may not work properly on some smartphones.
Please note the following points:
・MyRide - Link can be used free of charge. However, customers are responsible for any data charges incurred while downloading or using the app.
・These features are only available on the compatible models.
・Use of the features described above requires pairing/connection to the vehicle CCU before riding. Follow the in-app tutorial to pair/connect.
・If the vehicle is moved from the last parking position, the tracking feature will not be available.
・Since this app uses GPS and Bluetooth, it may increase consumption of your smartphone battery.
・The connection between the CCU and smartphone may fail due to power saving settings on some smartphones. For details, check the smartphone’s instruction manual or consult with your service provider.
・The app screenshots shown here are from a development version of the app; actual specifications may differ.
・Screen design, features, and other details may be changed or removed without notice.
Warning
・Always stop the vehicle before operating your smartphone.
・Keep your hands on the handlebars while riding your vehicle.
・Always pay attention to traffic conditions and concentrate on driving.

Devs have no idea what they’re doing
I’ve owned my 24 Tracer gt9+, bought new, for two months now. This app never works with Garmin Motorize. Essentially, Motorize never initializes and says it’s waiting for a connection to the vehicle, no matter how many ways you are connected. Devs sent me a tutorial. It did not work. They emailed me and told me to update MyRide to 9.20 but that version is not available in the App store weeks after I received that email. It’s embarrassing that a company as gifted as Yamaha could flub this so badly.

Note to developers
App v1.9.14 issue. Tutorial has incorrect page link from page 6 to page 7. App incorrectly directs to page with “Vehicles-CCU Paired Device Status.” User cannot complete tutorial. Troubleshooting section needs greater clarity, especially requirement (or not) for USB cable. Most helpful would be a straightforward “standard booting sequence” for users to follow in daily use. Successful launch of multiple connections and apps seems dependent on order of activation and is extremely frustrating for new users. This should be included both in app and on Yamaha support website.
