Trainers are often frustrated with the time it takes to give their clients, the horse owners, clear, consistent and accurate updates on their horses. They spend a lot of time trying to help the owner understand where their horses are in the training program, what they are working on and how the improvements are coming. Not only does it take a lot of time but trainers often have a hard time articulating exactly what they mean when they describe how the horse is doing.
Thus the concept of Caballus was created. An app that could record the starting point of a horse in training, evaluate and track performance using matrices, pictures and video. The app could then, if the owner wanted, send a notification every time the horse was worked with. The trainer might just send basic data of the ride (location, ride time and distance) or they could add comments, pictures and video. This also helps give the owner confidence that the horse is being consistently worked with and how.
When it comes time to buy or sell any horse with a Caballus profile. You now have the entire history of the horse. You can even identify how many hours of training the horse has had, where those hours were (training pen, trail, competition, etc.) what they were working on, pictures and videos of when they were young or highlights of their life. You can review vet and farrier records. All of this together creates buyer confidence. The buyer becomes willing to pay more for a horse with a Caballus profile.
The concept of Caballus is constantly evolving. Users who are not trainers or interested in buying and selling horses can still create an amazing experience. They can document confirmation, riding and competition experiences. They can see how far they rode in a week. How many hours they were on the horse. This becomes a journal or diary experience that they can share with friends.
