Protection, preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage of Abkhazia is one of the priority directions of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia. For this purpose, the Ministry, through support of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, created a mobile application - "Cultural Heritage of Abkhazia."
Abkhazia _ one of the indigenous part of Georgia is rich with the unique samples of spiritual and material culture created over millennia and considered to be as an integral part of the civilized world.
The application brings the cultural heritage of Abkhazia together, highlights its cultural and historical significance and its current dire condition - early and medieval monuments are to change their appearance and lose their authenticity under the excuse of restoration, while specimens of Georgian epigraphy are to be destroyed and demolished. Herewith it is emphasized, to stop this process, it is utterly important to involve the international community, first of all UNESCO.
The mobile application will be constantly updated.
The author of the idea is the Information-Analytical Center of the Autonomous Republic Abkhazia.
