Lexington Upgrade
I’ve had the Lexington for a couple months. The grill has been excellent. Everything I’ve cooked on it has been delicious. Decided I liked the idea of being connected so i ordered the connected upgrade. Got the connected controller last week but today was the first chance to install it. My hands were too big to get to the top so i ended up just taking the hopper off the grill, in five minutes installed. Powered up. Nothing. Wouldn’t connect to phone. Called tech support and he was very helpful. Emailed me a troubleshooting guide. Unfortunately they didnt help. Decided to try deleting the App and reinstalling. Bluetooth and wifi picked it up immediately. Put the grill through several paced, temp up, temp down, timer, etc. walked around the yard, across the street , throughout the house. Worked like a charm. I’m so impressed with this little smoker, the only thing is as i get used to using it i want to use it for everything and it’s a bit small so yesterday my wife bought me a Savannah Onyx for my birthday. Just burned it in and haven’t had an opportunity to use it yet. I’m sure it’ll be just as good as the Lexington. Now i have two pit boss, the Lexington for when it’s just the wife and I and the Savannah when the kids and grandkids and friends are over.

Aggravating
App “used” to work when it was the SmokeIt app. Ever since this new app came around and I’ve been forced to create an account, it’s been a pain. All I want to do is control/view temp and timer. Yet somehow this app manages to disconnect itself from my smoker every time I go to use it. Have to “reconnect” to the smoker, have to “reconnect” the smoker to WiFi. Not to mention the app can’t seem to keep me logged in for more than one use at a time. There is zero reason I can think of to “force” someone to have/keep up with an account and login JUST TO VIEW/ADJUST TEMPS AND TIMERS. Has been more of an aggravation to use than it has been useful.
