It’s ok
We used Story Pop for a murder mystery night and overall it was just okay—not what we expected for the price. The game doesn’t explain the phases very well, and the flow felt confusing. You’re suddenly pushed into random conversations without clear instructions on how you got there or how they connect. It would’ve helped a lot if there were guided prompts or clearer ways to respond to conversations that the game itself starts. The biggest letdown was the murder itself. It felt anticlimactic and rushed. I really think the murder should have been a hidden task, with a dramatic reveal or scene when it happened. Instead, it was very underwhelming and removed a lot of the excitement and suspense you’d expect from a murder mystery. Overall, the game felt too fast and a bit boring. For $50, it just wasn’t worth the money. It has potential, but it definitely needs better structure, clearer instructions, and a more engaging storyline to justify the cost.

Story pop is a blast
We had so much fun hosting a story pop game night. It was easy to setup up as the host and invite our friends and family to play. It’s fun to have both a digital and in person gaming experience at once. I liked having all the information about my character and objectives on my phone and accessible. Can’t wait to play again.
