The BEST AppleTV digital picture frame app I could find!
It WORKS as it should. What seems simple, few developers get right. All I wanted was a basic slideshow that would 1) Display EVERY image in the folder or album 2) Show the image as the FULL RESOLUTION of the original image 3) Be able to control the amount of time between slides 4) Set a simple transition between slides. I tried, on and off, for years to use AppleTVs built in Slideshow feature but it would NEVER display every image in the album, it did display full resolution. Other digital picture frame apps I tested will NOT show the FULL RESOLUTION of the original image, even when you alter the settings for high resolution they don’t show the full resolution 4:4:4 Chroma Subsampling that PixFolio is capable of showing. It matters, PixFolio images are super sharp, with close up detail. The interface could be improved, feels redundant, a bit confusing, but it works and gets the job done. The developer is very responsive and frequently updating the app.

The definitive app for photos/videos on AppleTV
Thank you for developing this app! It does just about what any logical person would want out of a slideshow app, something that is crazy that Apple or Google could not come up with. Unfortunately due to the companies’ terms you cant sync GPhotos anymore but this works well with Shared Albums, shuffling, photos AND videos, the only thing I’m looking out for next for features is adding dates and album names into the slideshow, and if it plays the entire video length instead of snippets.
