About Virginia's Mileage Choice Program
The Mileage Choice Program is a voluntary government-run program offering drivers of eligible vehicles an alternative way to pay highway use fees. Pay per mile driven instead of a flat annual fee at registration renewal. Drive less, pay less.
The device measures your driving distance, and the app provides a private, personal interface to view your trips, mileage, and driving scores.
Your Privacy is Protected:
Your driving scores and trip locations are completely private. They are not shared with third parties, not shared with government agencies, and do not impact your mileage payment. This data is for your eyes only.
Use the app as a personal safety tool to understand your driving patterns, or simply use it to submit your annual odometer reading—the choice is yours.

Dynamic Dashboard - View weekly scores and recent trips
Odometer Reading - Capture and submit odometer photos to validate mileage. No payment occurs within the app.
Trip List - See distance, duration, and your private driving score for every trip

Nothing Works
If I could give this app a zero, or negative number, I would. The previous version worked great. The update (and subsequent patch to the new version) is atrocious. Logins wouldn’t work. I’ve tried 6 times to submit odometer readings and it continually says there is an issue with the submission, but not what the issue is. I’m beginning to suspect Virginia did this so we can’t get a discount for not buying as much gasoline as regular cars. Either you care about the environment (by promoting hybrid and electric vehicles) or you don’t (want the gasoline tax money to keep rolling in). Evidently, Virginia has made their (mileage) choice.

I could not re-register using my iPAD, which I have used with this program since day 1. I was told after two days of phone calls that this new program was not compatible with iPADs and I had to use my cell phone to re-register. WHAT business model is this?? They develop a re-registration model that is not iPAD usable and then don't tell clients? I’ve just about given up. Tom

Doesn’t do anything
I’ve had this app for years. Even after getting emails a few months ago about a total overhaul, this app does nothing. I never see any trips logged. EVER. I can see them if I login on a desktop computer, though. I only use the app to submit my odometer photos.

Circular argument failure
So to get into the app you have to submit an activation code. Only you need the activation code to submit the phone number used to send you the code you need to submit the phone number to get the code to…. Yeah. They put the phone submission field on the same submission screen as the activation code submission. So it’s impossible to get in. An app from the same state that built the digital ID app that no state office accepts. Figures.
