About ADU Viewer (Augmented Reality)
ADU Viewer shows small homes in augmented reality (AR). It will help you see what can be built in your backyard and how it will look. Envision before a decision - with no money spent. Ideal for those considering an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) for their backyard. Accessory dwelling units may be called differently across the States - a backyard house, a granny pod, a granny flat, an additional dwelling unit, a secondary dwelling, a carriage house, etc.
Select from 60+ house designs and sizes to find what fits your backyard best.
The house models are real size virtual copies, please allow time and good internet connection to download a house that you like before the next step.
Use your phone first to show where you want the structure placed. "Walk in" to see what you will see from the windows. Take a couple steps back (watch the steps) to see the building from some distance.
It allows to place the AR version of an ADU in a backyard:
1. One can walk around the unit, occasionally walking through the walls (mind the pools, please).
2. One can look out of the ADU windows and see what they will see once the unit is build.
3. One can walk into the main house, look out of the window and check how ADU will look in their backyard.
4. One can also understand where exactly the bathroom is going to be. And kitchen.
5. One can see the required in California 4 feet setback (shown in green).
