GESA AGW is the premier annual gastroenterology and hepatology professional meeting in Australia.
This year’s program will feature sessions complementing the meeting’s theme: Bidirectional Learning – a foundation for excellence & innovation. This theme recognises the importance of mutual learning and sharing of ideas, with the purpose of achieving clinical excellence in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Bidirectional learning is not just about peer relationships but also understanding our patients’ journeys and lived experience through their illness. The latest scientific and clinical developments and innovations in the management of gastroenterological and liver conditions will be presented in the first Face-to-Face AGW for over two years with the additional capacity for online participation for those unable to attend in person.
The GESA Research Workshop is a collegial and inclusive 2-day meeting, bringing together Australian researchers across the fields of gastroenterology and hepatology. We will hear from cutting edge international speakers, interspersed with talks from local Australian lead and early career researchers. This is an excellent opportunity to build collaborative networks in our research community, and to provide early career researchers with an opportunity to present their work, network with peers and senior colleagues and gain exposure to premiere local and international research.
