FOR BEGINNERS AND PROS: A smooth and accurate tuner optimized for Guitar, Bass, Ukulele & more. It integrates more than 100 tunings and can be customized to your needs.
100+ TUNINGS
The app integrates all common tunings as well as many alternative tunings. Use the "Search" function to find what you're looking for quickly.
Predefined tunings are available for:
▶ Guitar | 6, 7, 8, and 12 strings.
▶ Bass | 4, 5, and 6 strings
▶ Ukulele
▶ Violin
▶ Viola
▶ Cello
CAPO SUPPORT
Adjusts the tuning to the capo position. When you use a capo, the notes on your guitar change. This can get fiddly when tuning, especially if you're using alternate tunings that you're not as familiar with. With the app, you don't have to think about transposed strings. Tip: When tuning with the capo, it is particularly important that you first tune the string a little lower and then tune "from below" towards the tone. Because the capo clamps the strings, you have to pull the string gently after you have tuned it a little lower and then tune it.
CUSTOM TUNING
Do you have special ideas on how your instrument should be tuned? "Custom Tuning" lets you create tunings for 1-12 strings and specify a different concert pitch from 440 Hz for each tuning.
CHROMATIC TUNER
Tune any instrument as you wish with the chromatic tuner. If you know which note you want to tune, this is the easiest way.
APP SETTINGS
The app can be customized to your needs.
▶ In-tune Range
Define your "in-tune" range. A smaller range makes tuning more difficult but results in a more precisely tuned instrument.
▶ Concert pitch
You can specify a different concert pitch if, for example, you are playing with an instrument that has been tuned differently. Or you want to give your music a different timbre.
▶ Reactivity and microphone sensitivity
Set how quickly you want the tuner to respond and adjust the microphone sensitivity to your environment. If you are in a quiet environment (recommended) or your instrument is relatively quiet, you can set the sensitivity higher. In a noisy environment, your instrument should be clearly audible. You can try lowering the sensitivity a bit.
▶ String numbers
The strings are numbered consecutively. Starting with the lowest (usually thinnest) string. You can have these numbers permanently displayed to keep a better overview.
▶ Octave
You can display the octave of the string.
▶ Note names
You can choose between English (B), German (H), and Do-Re-Mi variants.
▶ Accidentals
The accidentals (# as well as b) will differ depending on the tuning. If you have a preference for one of the two variants, you can specify this in the settings.
COLOR THEMES
You can choose from different app themes. A dark mode is included in the Free version.
CONNECT WITH TONALY AND UNLOCK TUNINGS
If you are also a user of the app "Tonaly: Write & Practice Songs" you can unlock more tunings.
