About Execute: Planner, Task Manager

Welcome to Execute!

Execute is aiming at providing the most powerful and innovative features for users to manage their tasks, projects in a professional way. It offers the options to plan a day in multiple dimensions with a brand-new design.

Each task is designed as a card. Users can manage and organize these task cards in multiple views:

LIST VIEW
Simply place task cards in a list view where all create, delete, update operations on a task card can be performed. Users can also drag and drop a task to change its relative position in the list.

PLAN VIEW
Users can plan their tasks on the day in the plan view with a timeline which includes 3 types of items:
1. Calendar events. Execute has integrated the system calendar to fetch the scheduled events on the day to avoid duplicated scheduling.
2. Time reservations. Other than calendar events, time reservations are placeholders on the timeline to reserve some time slots on the day where tasks are not planned. For example, users can reserve the time for breakfast, lunch, workout, nap, etc.
3. Tasks. The tasks scheduled on the day.

In the plan view, a day is automatically divided into multiple sections by calendar events and reservations. Each section are the time slot when users can focus on doing the tasks. Any unplanned tasks can be dragged and dropped into these sections.

Additionally, the Pro feature "Precise Planning" is provided for users to estimate the duration of each task and plan tasks in each section more precisely.

MATRIX VIEW
Matrix is another handy view to prioritize and categorize the tasks in two dimensions scheduled on the day. One of the most popular matrix is the Eisenhower one categorizing tasks by urgency and importance. The default matrix in Execute is the Eisenhower matrix. Users can drag and drop the tasks into the corresponding cells for categorization.

As a Pro feature, it is also customizable to create 2x2, 2x3. 3x3 matrix with other self-defined dimensions, e.g. Priority vs Difficulty.

FOCUS VIEW
In the Focus view, all the task cards are piled up in a stack and users can focus on the top card. The task card in Focus view can be flipped to use the Pomodoro timer on the back. The top card can be moved to the bottom by swiping left or right.

KANBAN STYLE
Tasks can be grouped in projects as well. In each project view, tasks are displayed in Kanban style. Tasks can be moved from one section to another.

MILESTONES
Projects can be planned and managed by stages (named Milestones in Execute). The Kanban view can be switched across the milestones, and the progress of each milestone can be tracked. With this feature, users can have an intuitive view of the project progress and manage projects in a more fine-grained way.

DEPENDENCY MANAGEMENT
Some tasks may have external dependencies out of control and have to be hold on until the dependencies are resolved. This feature can help users declare the dependency relationship, track dependencies periodically and unlock dependent tasks.

STEP TEMPLATES
Some tasks may have stand procedures with fixed steps. There is no need to remember all of them and add them repeatedly for each task. This feature can save steps as a template to be reused for future tasks.
