I’ve had SquareTrade since 2016. It used to be amazing. I had peace of mind on all of my devices. In the last year, SquareTrade has moved to an app-based customer service model. This is fine if implemented properly, but SquareTrade has failed in many ways. Firstly, the app opens new claims EVERY time you upload documents that they request. This creates tons of claim #s to track. Secondly, none of their internal support communicate with each other. It means 30-45 minutes of calling or chatting just to get the new guy up to speed on a previous claim. Also feels like they don’t hand out information readily, so it’s only after I ask a confirming question that they look on their end and tell me they already have it. Thirdly, the app looks like it hasn’t been updated in 5+ years. Makes it difficult to see the status of a claim or do anything more than upload documents (again, opening a new claim every time). Go with a different phone insurance. Your time is money, and this one is not worth your time.
