About Monster Baby MatchUp

Monster Baby MatchUp is a fun and captivating way for children aged 1 thru 6 to learn letters, numbers and simple sight words by helping adorable Monster parents find their cute wayward babies.

And it was created and tested by a developmental psychologist who specializes in understanding how children learn.

Using simple matching and memory games, children get the thrill of discovering hiding monster babies and reuniting them with their parents. It’s fun, easy to use and gently gets harder so children don’t get frustrated.

Large buttons with clickable areas and bright colors make it perfect for young children’s fine motor skills.

Child specialists and parents alike love it almost as much as the kids.

Brought to you FREE by the good people at DAIC and founder and director, Dr. Risa Tabacoff, PhD, MPS, MS.

How this game helps your child:
At DAIC (Developmental Assessment & Intervention Center, Bedford, NY) we help parents and teachers identify a childs' learning style through tailored psychoeducational testing. This information is then used to develop appropriate targeted intervention. We understand the “remedial landscape” and have developed this game to promote learning in a fun way. Feel free to encourage your children to spend time mastering the game, knowing that this is one “game” that is actually good for them.
Why this game helps your child:
Visual processing skills underlie many academic abilities. The ability to quickly identify letter and number patterns is an essential component to becoming an efficient reader and acquiring math facts. Research supports the importance of these skills and DAIC’s games are aimed at facilitating the process by creating a fun learning environment. The games included can improve sight word vocabulary, letter directionality, number recognition and computational skills.

TIPS: Make sure the volume is up on your iPhone or iTouch or headphones are used. You wouldn’t want to miss all the giggling and other fun noises.
Start out in “easy” mode and “matching”, especially with the youngest kids, just to let them get used to the way the game works. Within minutes it will seem easy as pie.

Loads of fun for kids

This sight is really cute and fun for kids to play- easy to follow and all the while teaching kids their letters and numbers. Really clever!

Really dig it

This game is targeted to kids but the memory matching gets crazy hard and stays fun even at my ripe age of 23.
