The arts of brewing and hospitality enjoy a long tradition here on the east banks of the Tegernsee. The Benedictine monks began generating commerce with hops and malt over 300 years ago.
Today, the formerly small "Braustibl", in which the monastery's brewing hands consumed their local ale, has become one of Upper Bavaria's most well-known taverns.
