DO NOT USE this product
Update: I'm an insulin dependent diabetic. Using the Gmate I began to notice my readings were all over the place and did not match the way I felt. After a few months I decided to purchase another device .... Contour Next. My readings were radically different so I did some research and discovered the FDA makes some allowances but mine seemed to be farther apart. I began a 30 day test taking readings using both meters every morning. You conducted a non-scientific fasting test with the following results: 30 Readings The Gmate had a 21.7% average difference or 38.9 points 15 of the readings averaged greater than 25% The readings ranged from -1.1 to 49.7% difference Original review: The GMate Smart app is a good app needing some improvement. It would be nice to have a specific place to enter medication taken after the reading that would export as a specific and separate field. It would also be beneficial to have an icon to notate a "Fasting" reading.
