The cost of arson to the communities of South Wales is £7 Million per year in the South Wales area. This level of arson is unsustainable in the current economic climate and the Fire Crime Unit is doing it’s upmost to reduce this blight in our communities.

We are responsible for dealing with all matters relating to the deliberate setting of fires and understanding why it happens, finding out the causes of arson, finding out where these fires may happen, and assisting the Police in the arrest of those responsible. The Fire Crime app is the first UK Fire Service must have bi-lingual application, which is available to download today. The Fire Crime app gives an insight to the fire Crime Unit in which operates from Ely Fire Station in Cardiff.

The Fire Crime app covers a vast amount of diverse in formation from deliberate fires to domestic abuse.

The app includes a number of interactive forms, which are linked directly to the Fire Crime office.
