Amazingly accurate GPS app with a developer who cares about your satisfaction!
This app is easy to use and extremely accurate… plus the customer service is off-the-charts! … Best $3.99 you will ever spend. I live in the mountains and the only way to reach the flat lands is by way of a State Highway, through a canyon with extremely steep, 300 foot tall rock cliffs on both sides, with 90° turns and speed limits that change quickly in 5-10 mph chunks, multiple times over several quarter-mile stretches. Steep Canyon walls means there’s absolutely no cell signal available so the GPS feature is what makes this app so amazing…. Speeds in the canyon range from 45mph on the straight sections down to 20mph on the tight curves. It’s very easy to exceed the speed limit if you don’t maintain absolute concentration with your eyes fixed on your speedometer, which is difficult to do while avoiding oncoming cars that frequently cross over the center line because they’re going too fast around the many sharp turns. This app even features the HUD which I have not had the chance to use yet. I drive a late model Honda (no techy features) and I’ve mounted my phone right next to the steering wheel above the center dash column. Visually it’s at the same eye level as the top of my steering wheel - top of dash height - so my eyes can stay constantly on the road and my speed is indicated in large green numerals (or red if I go too fast). This alone now saves me from looking down to focus on the speedometer…. and then up again on the road and oncoming traffic. Tapping on a new speed setting is fast and easy, and the alarm sound for exceeding the speed limit is better than having an elderly aunt and uncle from Iowa in the back seat, yelling at me to slow down on every hairpin curve…. LOLOL! In addition, (via communications with the app developer) I just learned that I can teach the app to remember the areas where the speed limits change, which will make the app that much easier to use, so I’m excited to try out those settings. But even without using that memory feature, I had mastered the apps use within the first 3 minutes of using it, and now I won’t drive the canyon without it…. And…. the black box feature will be very valuable documentation if somebody crosses the center line and collides with me… because it records my speeds! So brilliant!!!! $3.99…. an incredible value, and there’s no invasive data sharing of personal information! Wow! Buy it! Sincerely, Matt from Colorado
