Be careful with your sitters
I had both a good and bad experience on rover with two different sitters. My dogs have anxiety and need a lot of care throughout the day we discussed our dogs need throughly, we left notes to remind the sitter. We booked for a house stay so the dogs got the most out of the sitter without being alone for hours a day like drop inns. The sitter showed up three times a day maybe 30min to and hour max to our house. My door knob to my house was destroyed along with paint from my door. I told her again how the dogs get anxious while we leave that she’d need to do more drop ins like we discussed. Turns out she had other clients scheduled back to back leaving my dogs alone for hours. It was a lack of communication from the sitter. At the end of the stay she told us how she overbooked, didn’t think we needed that amount of care for the dogs and she wasn’t a good fit. We weren’t told this until the end of the day on our stay. Luckily rover is offering to reimburse us. Overall you can have good sitters on the app & then there could be some terrible sitters who are just in it for a quick paycheck.
