UX turnoff
This looks interesting, and I’d love to find potential dog sitters nearby. Signing up was a little tricky, because the password character validation did not recognize certain special character as such, requiring me to generate a few different passwords before it worked. But that wasn’t a big issue. What had me close the app was the onboarding, which started with my having to write a bio and upload a photo of myself. When I sign up for an app, I want to quickly get a sense if I like it and not be forced to showcase my face or write about myself. This shouldn’t be signup UX but usage UX if at all necessary (why do I need to upload my face as opposed to just my dog’s??). Let people sign up and see what the app is all about. You can still force users to provide more info if they actually want to use the app. As things stand now, it’ll likely stay in my phone for a few weeks and will eventually get deleted…
