About Presidio Museum Tours

This app includes a tour of the Presidio San Agustin del Tucson Museum and the Turquoise Trail in Tucson, Arizona.

The Presidio Museum is a re-creation of the original Spanish presidio (fort) that was built in what is today's Downtown Tucson in 1775. Highlights include an original Sonoran Row House and 2,000-year-old excavated Native American pithouse. The museum also includes a re-created soldiers' quarters, Territorial Courtyard, a mural of what the presidio would have looked like at its height of occupation, and a re-created pithouse, complete with the portion built above ground.

The Turquoise Trail is a 2.5-mile loop trail that highlights the historic areas of Downtown Tucson. Architecture, history, and culture are all encompassed in this tour, which also passes several shops and restaurants.
