About CivAction

civACTION is a unique platform designed to provide a helping hand to individuals who wish to create a more inclusive, society, and encourage a more responsive and accountable government. You can choose causes you wish to support, can be informed about issues, and connect with organizations with goals that align with your interests. Most importantly: civACTION will teach you HOW to take action.

After joining, you will select goals that you wish to help advance. The app will give you a personalized feed of concrete actions that you can take to contribute to positive change aligned with goals about which you are passionate. You will connect with organizations that share your views and they can provide simple ways for you to support their missions. It provides clear, concise instructions that make it easy to participate even if your time is limited.

Taking action can be intimidating. civACTION seeks to encourage users to understand issues and to learn how to be effective and constructive. civACTION is designed to help you take smaller actions first, and then gradually, as you gain confidence, take larger ones. civACTION can provide information on officials at all levels of government and can help you connect directly with them on issues that matter to you. The app will provide scripts for making calls, sample emails to send, and resources to inform you about issues so your communications with your leaders is more targeted, productive, and effective.

For example, if one of your organizations is holding a rally near you, the app can give you helpful suggestions and practical information such as what to wear, what to bring, etc. Or, if you will be seeing family or friends civACTION can give you information directly from organizations working in the advocacy space on how to have conversations about difficult issues, provide facts that can help inform others, and encourage them to think differently about various issues.

Get away from doom scrolling, educate yourself, and take ACTION.
