Children arriving in the UK in particular as Unaccompanied Asylum Seek Minors mostly lack access to information they can trust and understand. The lack of information can lead vulnerable children to drop out of the protective bubble. Once missing, and outside the protective bubble, children experience sexual and criminal exploitation, trafficking and are exposed to serious risks to their mental and physical health.

As a result, Shining Stars Fostering has developed this app to provide children in care with important information in their own language and in a child-friendly design layout. It includes information on everything from safeguarding tool kits, educational opportunities, health and wellbeing and information on the asylum process. We at Shining Stars Fostering Agency understand that children in care appreciate the information in their own language to help them understand better, stay safe, both on the move and at home.
