About Cape: App to Pause Excess
By adding gentle pauses and clear boundaries, Cape helps reduce distraction, curb impulsive app openings, and support healthier digital habits -— especially for people who struggle with attention or ADHD-related challenges.
What you can do with Cape:
- Set daily screen time limits: Apps pause automatically when you reach your limit.
- Take a Break: Cape pauses apps after extended usage and resumes them automatically once your break ends.
- Customize the Pause Screen with a personal message, countdown, and usage summary, shown when you open paused apps to help you stay mindful.
- Use On-demand Access and Delayed Resume to reduce impulsive app openings.
- Automate with Allow Zones & Block Zones, schedules, and Shortcuts to control access automatically.
- Stay informed with notifications and reports.
With Cape, pausing excess screen time becomes automatic, intentional, and easy.

App now does the opposite of what it’s supposed to
App worked just fine until the update. Took me 5 minutes to figure out how to unhide the apps because you have to hold it down and now it’s showing them IN A BLOCKED ZONE because the app defaulted to ‘resume’ in the schedule.
