In the context of its 2023 Annual Meetings, AfDB designed a mobile application which facilitates information sharing and enhances Participants experience.
This secure mobile application is shared with participants annually and runs on Mobile.
The application is an information-sharing platform only, with some chat features.
The following are the implemented features are implemented that showcase the event to the participants:
· This application has two specified types of profiles:
· Participants: includes features for live chat, meeting bookings, routing to meeting rooms and other points of interest at the Congress Centre, and Chatbot whole experience
· AfDB Bank Staff: includes the above and collaboration features through Staff Directory and live chat.
· Notifications and alert features for setting reminders.
· Chat capabilities are only for registered visitors and staff.
· Personalized Calendar for easier management of meeting attendance.
· Live Streaming & Video sharing.
· This application features a virtual assistant Chatbot to respond to information about hotels, hospitals, ATM locations, WIFI services, contacts, and other helpful information.
· Full integration with the AfDB website, the Annual Meeting Microsite, and the Annual Meeting Registration System;
· AfDB Staff Directory for onsite staff collaboration;
· Global Participants Directory with connection possibility; and
· An interactive floor plan showing the directions and guiding the visitors to the different points of interest within the venue.
