About WeLift – Ranked Lifting

WeLift turns every workout into an opportunity to compete, improve, and connect. At its core is a dynamic ranking system that places your lifts on real-time leaderboards. Each time you log a weight or rep, you see where it ranks among athletes with similar age, weight, and experience. You can compare yourself against a global community or narrow the field to nearby lifters and friends. This approach keeps you motivated, pushing you to beat not only your personal bests but also the best in your region or around the world.

Logging workouts is effortless. Simply select an exercise from the comprehensive library or create a custom movement, enter weight, sets, and reps, and the app calculates your estimated one-rep max. That value is immediately run through our ranking algorithm to update your position. Over time, you’ll see your progress on intuitive charts that show strength gains, one-rep-max trends, and consistency in your favorite lifts. Each chart can be filtered by date range, exercise type, or body-weight category, so you know exactly how much you’ve improved and what still needs work.

Behind the numbers, there’s a vibrant social layer. Follow friends to see their latest lifts, share your own updates, and leave encouragement. When someone tops a lift you’ve recorded, you’ll receive a notification so you can go one step further next time. You can challenge a friend directly: pick an exercise, set a deadline, and see who claims bragging rights. Friendly competition fuels accountability and keeps every training session engaging.

The app goes beyond lifting alone. Create and track personalized programs with built-in rest timers to keep your pace consistent between sets. Set weekly training goals—number of workouts, total tonnage lifted, or target one-rep max increases—and receive reminders when you fall behind or when you’re on track. Our algorithm also suggests auto-adjusted weight increases based on your recent performance, so you’re always working at the right intensity.

An extensive exercise library includes video demonstrations and coaching tips for form and safety. Each entry lists primary and secondary muscles worked, equipment required, and common mistakes to avoid. Whether you’re using barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, or just your bodyweight, the library covers everything from beginner movements to advanced Olympic lifts.

To keep your entire fitness journey in one place, the app integrates seamlessly with HealthKit to import body-weight entries and track workout duration. You can also export your lifting history to spreadsheets or share progress snapshots on social media. Push notifications are fully customizable: get alerted when a friend breaks your record, when a leaderboard resets at midnight, or when it’s time to log today’s workout.

Designed for athletes of all levels, the app adapts to you. A newcomer can follow beginner-friendly programs and watch where their lifting ranks in a novice category, while an advanced lifter can take on regional or global elite leaderboards. Every time you open the app, you’re greeted with up-to-date rankings, clear progress charts, and a feed showing friends’ latest accomplishments. There’s no guessing where you stand or how to plan your next workout—everything you need to grow stronger is right at your fingertips.

So Far So Good
The app gives a decent amount of things for a free vs paid structure. You can track records and whole workouts, while also being able to know where you stand (roughly, more detail in paid version) with the general pop. Only thing I could wish for is a way for free users to check their ranks without having to buy into the system, such as seeing your own bench record (not leaderboard). The only way I seem to find it is after you complete a workout. It would be nice so you can still review your improvements against yourself, not necessarily against everyone (since that is already in the app but paid). Other than that, not a bad app for free users, just understand that you are looking at maybe 50% of the app if you don’t pay. Overall: 3/5 for free users. would bump to 4 if they add that feature I mentioned.

Overall a great app
Obviously this app is relatively new but I’ve used it for about 2 weeks and it tracks progress well and give a lot more information on workouts then expected. Data is tracked by global positioning as well as relativity to your body weight. I would like to see an option for super and drop sets in the future. But overall has a lot of features that are super helpful

Most Underrated Gym App
I’ve had my handful of gym apps and so far this is the most simple and easy to use. UI is sleek and friendly and creating a routine takes seconds. Currently using it for free and it works perfectly for my needs. Will be looking into a subscription sooner than later. Still think this is so underrated considering the other AI trainers advertised online dont feel as straight forward and this has more features than the others if you really start using all the advantages given (i did the free trial and the graphics and statistics are fantastic). In Conclusion, going to continue using it over strong, fitbod, etc. Just feels more put together.

Great app for tracking progress and seeing what to improve on. I would love to see the forearms and calves on the muscle chart though.
