KwaKwa is like a group chat, but instead of a constant stream of messages, people share stories (stories as in Instagram-like, not as in Wattpad) that only the group members can see. It's not a broadcast group like in "Close Friends" but a private feed where everyone in the group can see everyone else's stories, and anyone can like, comment, etc.
Stories can include text, photos, videos, GIFs, quizzes and links but also YouTube videos, songs and playlists from Spotify, TikTok videos, Google Maps and basically any site that allows embedding of their content. Stories can be one page or multiple pages.
You can open as many groups as you wish, invite your favorite people and decide who can post and who can't. Stories can also be shared outside of the group and be viewed on the web without downloading the app. Important stories can be gathered and saved in your group highlights (and not in a specific person profile page, as in Instagram).
