The 2023 National Joint Training Conference for VOCA Victim Assistance and Crime Victim Compensation Program Administrators brings staff and board members of administering agencies from states, territories, and the District of Columbia together with their federal colleagues. This conference is a unique opportunity to obtain critical information to strengthen program and grant administration and learn about promising practices and innovations. The conference provides a forum for administrators to network and exchange information, experiences, and ideas with peers who have similar responsibilities, as well as meet with federal officials, colleagues, and other allied professionals.
Session topics and content are curated for the administrator audience with practical tools and first steps for implementing new strategies to reduce barriers, increase options, and help victims in their state, territory, or the District of Columbia. Workshop topics include building meaningful connections with Communities of Color and Community Based Organizations, strategic planning for VOCA assistance awards, expanding beyond law enforcement reporting requirements for compensation programs, and many others.
