What is the INN-TALER?
The INN-TALER is a digital voucher that can be used to shop, eat & drink in Innsbruck's Old Town. It offers a digital payment system for selected and clearly marked partner stores within Innsbruck's Old Town. With the help of the INN-TALER app, businesses can deposit credit with the Altstadtverein, which can then be distributed to the employees of the respective business. The app generates a QR code for each user, which is scanned when making a purchase to redeem the voucher. The app also displays the current available credit. This digital solution creates incentives for shopping in Innsbruck's Old Town, because the QR code can be used and redeemed at all participating partner businesses.
Why do you need the INN-TALER?
The INN-TALER helps to keep the added value in the region and encourages local shopping. Incentives in the form of digital value vouchers are to be created to ensure that customers continue to make their purchases in the participating businesses of the Interessengemeinschaft Altstadt Innsbruck and in the Old Town in general: These can be redeemed in the participating businesses of the Old Town Association. Especially in the current times, when security, hygiene and contactless payment are more important than ever, it is essential to keep the purchasing power in Innsbrucks Old Town and to generate sales in the respective partner businesses.
How does the INN-TALER APP work?
The INN-TALER-APP is downloaded from the App Store. A company determines a quota with which vouchers can be purchased from the Innsbruck Old Town Association. The company hands out these vouchers digitally to its employees. As soon as an app user has received credit, a QR code is generated with which the credit can be redeemed in stores and restaurants within Innsbruck's Old Town. The partner business scans the QR code of the customer in the app and the voucher value is reduced by the respective amount. The respective use of the vouchers is recorded in order to record how many vouchers and which amounts were redeemed at the respective partner businesses. With the help of the evaluation, the Altstadtverein then transfers money to the partner businesses on a monthly basis.
